Samba parades in Internet

by Franja

Does any body could advise us if it is possible to watch the samba parades at Sambodromo in direct TV through Internet? Thanks in advance

Re: Samba parades in Internet

Samba Parades from Rio and São Paulo are generally produced in brazilian TVs Globo, and/or, Band. Globo is much focused in Rio de Janeiro. Band presents Rio, São Paulo, Salvador and Recife.
I have some brazilian friends who keep watch on brazilian TVs in US, via Internet.
I believe they use streaming ways to do that.

Maybe the below link will help you in finding out:

Travel Tips for Rio de Janeiro

Visit the Corcovada or Christ Statue

by b1bob

The plan for New Year's Day was to go to the Christ statue- 2329 feet (710 m.) above the city- which many people associate with Rio de Janeiro, then to the beach, before going to the airport. Ivan, Fernanda, and the 3 kids piled into Ivan's car and Flávia, Alexandre and I piled into Alexandre's with my luggage in the back. I was looking forward to doing what was planned, but I was not looking forward to leaving all the wonderful people I met in South America. The weather was good- 84-99° (29-37°C) depending on how close to the water. It was sure enough crowded on the road up to the mountain. I thought, "The view had better be worth it." I took lots of pictures of the statue and the panorama of Rio de Janeiro. The view WAS worth it.

Beach Life in Brazil

by jwilliams2005

There are several activites tha I love about Brazil. They are; the hospitality and culture of the Brazilian people, the beaches, the beautiful women, the restaurants, the adventure and the fantastic Plataforma Shows. One of my most fondest memories of Rio is going hang gliding for the first time, and traveling on the cable car to Sugar Loaf.

When we went down to Rio, we...

When we went down to Rio, we were planning on visiting a lot of landmarks but honestly we umm .. well .. sorta got stuck in the wild atmospher of Rio that we did not have time to go anywhere else!

The Carnival and New Year's Eve are Rio's two highest season events. So bok early if you going be in Rio during one of those two!

Wanting To Be Taller

by ChrisRJ

When Ned and Leon weren't busy imitating traffic lights they spent their time playing with their balls.

But seriously...one of the cool things about Rio is that you never know what you're going to see. This includes the kids who hang out at certain intersections and perform impromtu performances in the hope that you'll throw them some change.

THE BEACH

by marcbrazil

When you are in Rio you quickly realize that we all love the beach, no matter if the weather is fine or not, but we always find any reason to be close by the sea. Even when the sea is flat you will find a surfer having fun in our coast line! This photo was taken in the Fort of Copacabana in one of the afternoons that I usually go to the beach to walk. The view from this fort really offers a different perpective of Copa.

Absolutely amazing!
