Just got back from Rio and stayed at Ibiza. Great location, just two blocks from the beach. Staff, very helpful. Great breakfast. Elevator, very slow. Rooms very small. When I checked out, i was charged for the towels I used daily and there was a daily charge for the safe deposit box in my room. With internet which was less that 7 dollars. It came to 140 reals. Almost 70 dollars U.S. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good location, bad rooms
The Copacabana was in a good location and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were not as good. The beds were very uncomfortable due to a non-existent mattress.
Unique Quality: Good location close to Copacabana Beach.

Nice budget hotel in copacabana.
Ibiza Copacabana is a nice hotel in the cheaper range when compared to other tourist hotels.
It´s located in a small street 2 blocks from Copacabana beach.
The hotel has a small pool area on the roof with an interesting view of the neighbourhood and you can see the beach too if you stretch yourself.
The breakfast is excellent and all in all i think it´s very good value.
The only think i don´t like about the place is that it´s in Copacabana and not in Ipanema as I´m more an Ipanema kinda guy than a Copacabana.
Unique Quality: It´s located in a street with a lot of local life.

Great Location, SMALL Accomodations
The Ibiza has a great location. It is three blocks to the beach and 3 blocks to the Acoverde Metro Subway Station. The breakfast was good, very filling.
The rooms are small...especially if you stay in the back rooms. My roommate could just reach out and hit me to wake me up. They provide minimal items, such as 2 towels, 2 washclothes and a glass. Everything else will cost. It cost for local calls, for internet, to have a guest...and probably most other things. They have A/C and a radio, but no instructions, so you have to get a bellhop to assist you. The view is terrible in the back. The pool is just a big tub about 10x10 and only deep enough to walk in...don't try to swim there.
The front desk people were great...helpful and nice. The bellhops were cool guys and very knowledgeable about the area. Realize with the location you are in the community, with neighbors that live there, work there and play there.
Overall this would not be my first choice of a hotel for the price.
