Swimming at the top
All the staff are very friendly. Maybe extremely polite.
I don´t like to eat in places just for tourist, and I asked in the reception, but they answered -nice BUT- with a "corporate answer" with international restaurants (we wanted to know where the receptionist eat in they´re free days).
Unique Quality: Oh... The swimming pool. It´s GREAT !
Night... at the terrace (the top of the building)... you have the sweetiest woman in the world (Ana :-) ), some beers, a worm night (really not too warm, but yes in my mind that night hehe) and a beatiful swimming pool, with warm water, and blue lights inside...
It was one of my great nigths, ever..

They deliver the room service menu also on the rooftop, very nice.

Great Experience!
My husband and I were fortunate to stay at the Rio Marriott in Nov/Dec 03 and it was a wonderful experience! We used Marriott points and were given a Junior Suite - very large and beautiful. Our room on the 11th floor was right above the lounge where we had complimentary breakfast and evening happy hour snacks and drinks every day. We had a nice big view of Copacabana Beach and Atlantica Avenue down below. Service was great, location was great and we highly recommend it! They had a Sushi special on Sunday evening - all you can eat for US $12.99! And the rooftop pool and lounge chairs were a great spot to enjoy with no street people.
Unique Quality: The rooftop pool was very special - the restrooms included dry saunas and an on-site massage specialist.
The sushi bar restaurant as well as the other buffet restaurants were very good. The views were exquisite and best in town!
