Aparthotel in Rio
I spent 10 days here in December 2004. It is an aparthotel with seperate living and sleeping areas. The hotel has a rooftop swimming pool with good views of the surrounding area. The rooms are comfortable and clean but a bit old fashioned. The breakfast is not very substantial, but the there are a lot of very nice cafes and restaraunts nearby. The rooms have a small kitchen with a large fridge freezer and cooker.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have stayed there twice this year and all the staff remembered me when I returned this time.
Unique Quality: The hotel is situated in one of the best neighbourhoods in Rio. It's a short walk from the beach and is surrounded by good cafes, restaraunts and book shops. There are an excellent selection of bars and nightclubs nearby.
