What a nightmare! The owner will try to rip you off until the last cent! Belive me, Rob ( the owner) could seem a little Gooffy in appearence, but very intelligent to get your money. The location is far of the main points of interest. Rob will try to convince that Sugar Loaf is only 20 minutes of walking...wich in real fact that is 20 minutes of taxi ( cost 10$USD). Forget the beach also if you stay there: a short 25-30 minutes taxi ride ( and again 10-15$USD extra). Avoid this place. Furthermore, it was almost impossible to sleep at night beacause the 2 dogs on site were barking non-stop from 10pm to 6 am. Rob will try to scare you with the city, so he convince you to take his tours....Very non-ethical guy: he talks about his sexual experiences with young brazilians guys. We had to chang subject all the time. If i would have let him the chance to touch me, he would have. He is a real crook. Do not trust that guy. Brazilians are very kind and nice people, the country is wonderful, but the O Veleiro and Rob Burhoe ( a canadian owner) are to AVOID.
