The Pestana Rio Atlantica is located in the Centre of Copacabana, along the beachfront. It is a nice hotel, with good facilities, and excellent breakfast buffet, nice lobby bar and is very well positioned. The hotel has 218 rooms, with 114 being luxiry suites with ocean view. Our rooms was very nice, with pleanty of room, a good shower, in-room safe and mini bar. The decor is a bit 80's, but it's still lovely. The pool is located on the roof, which offers fantastic views of the surrounding area. There is also a spa, sauna, gym and massage/ beauty services available.

The staff are very helpful, and the service in the restaurant is excellent. There also are some great restaurants downstairs within walking distance. Copacabana beach is beautiful, though the shoreline is not the best place to explore after dark.

The hotel has asection on the beach in front of the hotel containing sun lounges, towels and a safeplace to store valuables. There are staff who bring you drinks and fruit snacks too. Not being acostomed to luxury, this was a huge bonus to us!!
