The best hostel in Ipanema
The Lighthouse hostel is very nice, well serviced and in a good position, just 3 blocks from the Ipanema beach. I reccomend it for people who wants to feel at home, because the atmosphere is just like that. It's small, but there are all the facilities, it's clean and safe, and the staff (Silvia and Caroline on top) is very funny.

Make yourself at home!
This small hostel is situated in Ipanema, three blocks from the beach and consists of one 8-bed dorm room with aircon and a double room with a sleeper couch that can sleep up to 4 people. This means that the hostel tends to be more quite than some of the bigger hostels even though you still get the advantage of staying in a hostel, such as the rates and the opportunity of meeting other young travelers. The staff (especially the owner) is also very friendly and helpful.
Unique Quality: This hostel serves a great hostel with the smell of fresh coffee coming from the kitchen after 9 in the morning (most of the time, the nightguard makes coffee through the night, so if you'r an early riser or late nighter there will be fresh filter coffee most of the time...) Because the hostel is so small, the kitchen (and other areas) are much cleaner than in the average hostel. One of the coolest things is that the double room has a cd player and even a tv in (see the picture).
