The W
by galy
The most complete hike of Torres del Paine National Park is the W. It's called W because of the shape you performon the trails (see picture). This means, there are 3 major hikes, which are done back and forth. The first one is from Hosteria del Torres to the base of the Torees. The second is from the Italian camp along the French Valley, and the third one is from Lake Pehoe tothe Grey Glacier. Between this three arms of the W, you hike along Lake Nordskjold, and from the Italian camp passing lake Scottsberg to Lake Pehoe. It takes between 6-10 days to complete the W, and you should be in a very fit condition.
If you are not, you can still enjoy the National park by doing part of the trails, and connect with car and / or boat between them. Hike the French valley
