Has to be one of the best hotels in Santiago!
We didn't get to pick our hotel, Team Canada did, but I honestly don't think we could have picked a better one than they did! Everything about this hotel was great - the rooms were large, comfortable and stylishly decorated, the free breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of Continental and American dishes, there was free wireless Internet access in the lobby or for a very low rate you had access to the hotel's business center, there was a nice little souvenir shop, and people working at the front desk were incredibly nice and helpful. They didn't even seem to mind when their lobby was taken over by a bunch of teenagers practicing their kata or simulating a fight!
Atton El Bosque is located in Las Condes, which could be described as Santiago's main business area. It is a very safe neighborhood, and there are plenty of restaurants around (though many are American ones like T.G.I. Friday's, Ruby Tuesday, and so on). There's also a supermarket just around the corner and a metro station (Tobalaba) right across the street. I definitely wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again!
Unique Quality: There's a rooftop swimming pool that looked fantastic but it was a bit (well, a lot!) too cold to swim while we were there. We also had dinner once at the hotel's restaurant, El Mediterraneo, and we enjoyed our meal very much - I'd recommend the mushroom risotto, it was delicious!
