Travel Tips for Santiago

Hector Tour Service

by llacr

If you are looking for a custom tour with a guide extremely professional, courteous and knows very well all regions, Hector Medina is the ideal guide.
There are many tours available, however, making a custom tour, you know the city in a different way, with the vision of someone who lives there, and out of those classic tours.
I did a tour with Hector to Valparaiso and Vina de Mar in a great way !!!!!
You pay for a tour designed specifically for you, with flexible hours, knows the place you want and not what was stipulated by the tour company!!

I recommend to everyone who wants one of the highest quality service and want to make the trip unforgettable !!!!!

La cartelera de teatro de...

by Ragazzo20

Another old palazio

by globetrott

Take a look at this lovely old palazzo, it could be Palacio Errazuriz or Palacio Irarrazabal according to my map. in any case it is between the metro-stations "Los Heroes" and "La Moneda", and directely at Av. Gerneral B.O'Higgins. This beautiful building had seen better days already but at the moment some restaurations are going on

by marvi_17

In the year 2002, the metro consists of 3 lines which sum up to 40.6 km with Line 1 running east - west and Line 2 and Line 5 running south from the city centre. Sounds rare, we have lines 1, 2 and 5, you probably are asking ¿where are lines 3 and 4?... those are only projects, line 3 is planned to run from the northern part and line 4... ups, sorry I have no idea about line 4.

Restaurant next to the Principado Hotel

by filipdebont about La Terraza

Next to the Hotel Principado there was a simple but very good restaurant, they were serving all kind of dishes, from Burgers, Sandwiches to full (real) dishes with steak and chicken.

It was very handy that this was just next to the hotel, that way you did not need to walk far to have something to eat or to drink (yes I also entered La Terraza just to drink a beer, because I was thirsty . . .) I had a Fileta con arroz (Filet with rice) - price 5000 pesos

and (as every day) a Pisco Sour (Hmmmmm what a great taste ) as aperitive (1500 pesos)
