This hotel was the initiating point for a small group tour we had signed on to. The hotel was clean but showing a bit of wear and tear particularly in the bathroom area. Beds were okay but the pillows were wafer thin. Rooms are equipped with A/C, telephone, TV and a minibar with, surprise, reasonable prices! Breakfast was fine with a good selection of options from the buffet table. Service was sketchy - some staff were helpful but others seemed confused. This seemed to be either a language or staff training issue. There is a small restaurant and bar on the premises but it never seemed clear when they were open - hit or miss. We were there for three days right around New Years Day and perhaps that was the problem. I would recommend the hotel for budget travellers who don't require a lot of amenities in their accommodation - basically, a clean place to rest your head, a decent breakfast and a reasonably convenient place to start on your daily activities.
The hotel is reasonably convenient to a restaurant area and the subway about 2-3 blocks away - perhaps a 10 minute walk at most. It is located in a quiet residential area with several embassies nearby. A small pool is available that seemed clean and attended to.
