Bellavista Apartments

by jpcinsd

Hello,

I'm looking to rent either a 3 bedroom or a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartment in the Bellavista area of Santiago in November. I've been in contact with this agency who rents apartments in a tower that's close to Plaza Italia. This looks to be easy walking distance to Bellavista area.

Does anyone know this building and/or agency and would you agree it's close enough to walk to the Bellavista area at night?

Many thanks.

John

I don't know the apartments but know the location. The Plaza Italia (proper name Plaza Baquedano but no one calls it that) can be a tricky area late at night. Yes, you just cross the Pio Nono bridge and you will be in Bellavista. I would walk to but taxi back from Bellavista. The street they are on is to the left, looking at the map, of Vicuña Mackenna. To the right of it on the Parque Bustamante, there is an apart hotel called San Sebastian 1, one of three buildings owned by the same company. The inmoba apartments are a mix of short term rented accommodation and permanent residents. The San Sebastian is all one purpose accommodation. I think breakfast is included. Check out the San Sebastian and see what you think. the location is similar but better:

Plaza Italia is only 10 minutes from Bellavista. There are alternatives just as close, but you do not mention which building. There are rather a lot of buildings around the Plaza Italia.
