3 old ladys are going on cruise on the 23 Feb 2011,can anybody recommend a reliable taxi firm to take us from hotel in santiago to the pier of valparaiso, please? no buses for us
The best thing would be to get your hotel to order the taxi for you.
thanks for the advice
There has been a lot about this recently.
I suggest that you check with your cruise company to see if they are organising a shuttle.
Also, your hotel will almost certainly be able to organise one for you.
Which cruise company are you going with?
Please send me a vt mail if you want a reliable transfer service I have used personally.
thank you crazyman2,we booked the hotel in santiago by ourseleves, even though we're staying in the same hotel as cruise company.but the transportation is part of hotel package and we are not allow to just book a transportation with them.bad
I just sent you an email from my yahoo address. Enjoy your trip/transfer!
we'll be cruise with star princess
Okay!
Great ship ---and so much better since the refit!
We were on her in 2004 and again earlier this year!
The 'village' area in the lower part of the atrium in so much better than the older, rather boring style.
Watch out for the Romanian 4-piece band, Tempo Quartro, in the Wheelhouse ---if they are still on board!
Oh, the ice cream from the ice cream outlet on the open deck is free! We didn't find that out until the last few days!
I guess that you're off to BA from Santiago. My VT travel pages have quite a bit about the excursions etc offered by Princess on that cruise! Check other VTers pages too!
Anything you need to check up om, just e-mail me directly or add a question on this page.

We stayed at the Rq Santiago Suites this one time. We came back from Santiago where we spent a night at this hotel. The resort is not what I would characterize as "amazing".
