Any better than this?? Impossible!

Because of fortunate circumstances I was able to spend three nights in the Ritz-Carton in Santiago. And it was by far the nicest hotel i have ever been to.
It offers everything you can imagine and even more. If you want to spend one nice night to recover from your long, hard trip- do it here!!

Unique Quality: Any unique qualities you can imagine- you will find them here! (at an .... um... almost .... reasonable price)

Great hotel for travelers

I stayed in this hotel for the last half of my trip to Santiago. It was fantastic. There is an excellent fitness center, and a luxurious pool and hot tub on the top floor of the hotel.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and accomodating. I ate many meals in the hotel, as well as making use of the facilities, and I felt spoiled by the staff. Occasionally, I was embarrassed by their helpfulness, as I was not expecting the luxurious treatment I received. I can easily recommend this hotel to any business or wealthy travelers.

Unique Quality: Excellent facilities, pool, views, and location. Helpful staff, comfortable beds.

Santiago 5star accomodation

by coccinella169 about Ritz Carlton Santiago

The only hotel of the Ritz Carlton chain in whole South America can be found in Santiago de Chile. It is located in the las Condes area, obviously a business quarter but also quite a nice neighbourhood. Metro stop El Golf, from where you can easily reach the centre, is just around the corner. It has about 200 rooms. Although I usually prefer small hotels or bed and breakfasts, I nevertheless enjoyed my stay at this hotel :).

I think I do not have to loose too many words about it`s qualities - it is a five star hotel, the breakfast was the best I had in Chile, the rooms are nicely appointed although their "floral style" is probably not everyone`s taste, and there were nice marble bathrooms. The shower was seperated by a glass door and there was also a bathtub. The bathrooms are appointed with Bulgari cosmetic products. Staff was wonderful and not too formal. But - the best thing was their spa: It is located on top floor under an impressive glass cupola. There is a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and sauna and steam room, seperated for ladies and gents. It is so nice to watch the sun going down over Santiago from there, with the Andes mountains in the background :). There is also a gym.

The only strange thing was the steam room - I couldn`t`stay for too long there as it smelled like mould so that I could hardly breathe.

They have a restaurant (prices are ok for european standards) and some kind of souvenir shop. Room prices start at EUR 235.

One of the Best Anywhere

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton from 5th. to 8th. January 2006, having arrived from England and prior to taking a cruise from Valparaiso.
Having travelled widely on business and on holiday, there are very few hotels in the world where I can honestly say that I have no complaints whatsoever - this hotel is one of them.
The RC is a small hotel which sets itself out to appear like a select, private, London Club and it succeeds very well, in appearance, atmosphere and service. The bedrooms are large and well appointed. The bar and lounge areas are welcoming as are the staff. The food in the two resturants is first class.
There is a very attractive covered swimming pool, whirlpool and health club on the roof. If I HAD to find fault with anything it would be that drinks and snacks in the pool area sometimes took a long time to arrive.
Overall an excellent hotel in all respects, not too expensive and very good value. We recommend it highly.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city

Santiago, Ritz-Carlton, Dates: 2/10-2/13/06
Reviewers: Ghent, New York. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. Rooms, service, food, location all grand. We stayed three nights and wished that we could stay forever. We stayed on the "Club floor" for a real special experience. Staying on the club floor was well worth the extra money. The pool and hot tub on the 15th (top) floor was also remarkable. All in all this hotel is a must when staying in Santiago.

Perfect in every way

You can't do any better than this hotel. We had a honeymoon suite for three nights...there was a bottle of champagne in the room and rose petals on the bed. The service was impeccable. The restaurant in the hotel was great. The pool and hottub on the top floor are very relaxing. We took a hotel car to a local winery, to dinner and dancing and didn't have to worry about a thing. We didn't want to leave the hotel though because it was so relaxing. The location is a little out of the way but who cares...stay at this hotel.

Despite some problems, we loved this hotel

No, This does not rise to the incredible standards of a Ritz Carlton in Singapore - but it is a fine and lovely place. The staff were terrific, nothing but kind in the Ritz tradition. The fitness/ health club/pool area was wondrous... . Concierge and front lobby staff and bellman were wonderful. My only complaints about the nice huge room (224) was that there was not a comfortable chair with ottoman for reading- and the very nice outdoor patio had no furniture on which to sit outside. Also -we had to ask for luggage racks, which they brought quickly. I think it is taking some time for this hotel to really get the Ritz concept - or perhaps the owners don't want to buy a zillion easy chairs. The location is quite good, with some more than decent restaurants nearby. Breakfast in this hotel is a wonderful buffet.... fresh rasberries every day in April....

Fabulous

The Ritz Carlton in Santiago is EXCELLENT.

Location - Excellent near some good bars and restaurants.

Rooms - Fabulous. Sumptuous bed sheets, very comfortable. Great bathroom. Good shower pressure. In room safe etc. Had to pay for Internet. Boooo.

Bar - Also great. Great service, good drinks. Good subtle entertainment - singer and pianist.

You will love this hotel

We spent three nights at the Ritz Carlton in May 2006. The service and furnishings were first rate. The staff was attentive but low keyed. If you are going to stay in Santiago, this is the first place you should consider. One observation--this hotel is located in the newer part of Santiago--we could as well have been in Miami or LA. There is a subway station within 100 yards of the front door which can take you downtown in 10 minutes (the trains are rubber tired like the Paris Metro and very clean).
