Hotel Palace: Where NOT To Stay In Copiapo
I can tell you where we stayed and why I would seriously look somewhere else, if for some reason we should ever be in Copiapo again. Not likely!
We had a room with two beds and a bath. It had cable TV and it was quiet at night. It cost over $33 per night and breakfast was extra.
The room was exceedingly worn. The rug was so old, threadbare and dirty looking that I didnt want to walk on it with my bare feet. It was so worn that it looked more like an old stained wool blanket than a rug. It had holes worn through in spots. I checked out some other rooms and the rug was the same in
The shower had very little warm water (wont even use the word 'hot') and I didn't want to get in it with my bare feet either. There was no toilet paper, no soap and no soap holder in the shower. The wash basin leaked and water was running across the floor.
It amazed me that there were other people staying in this place. Maybe for Copiapo this place is worth $33, but I have to doubt it.
We have stayed in some pretty tacky places, but never paid that much money for the privilage.
Did I mention that it had cable TV and it was quiet at night? The bed wasn't bad either.
