I had the enjoyment of staying at DA Hotels for several nights during my stay in Iquique. The hotel was everything you could hope for in a fairly luxury establishment. Amenities included: pool and jacuzzi, exercise room, free wireless in all the rooms, breakfast buffet.
The restaurant is good, though a bit on the expensive side (though most of Iquique is expensive).
The rooms were clean, well-appointed, mine had a great view of the beach and the Pacific ocean. housekeeping staff were courteous and prompt with any questions or needs, i really felt taken care of by the staff. Overall, a great place to stay when in Iquique.
This little hotel was a recommendation by Sernatur. They gave us a long list of accommodations complete with prices. The Del Profesor was 12000P/$20US a night for a double room.
It was located a couple of blocks off of Plaza Pratt. We shared a bathroom, but in November, there were not many people on our floor. It was a small room with 2 good beds, cable TV, a small refrigerator and daily maid service. Breakfast was included in the price. The room and the bathroom were clean. Management was very friendly.
On the downside, our room was a bit noisy at night. Amazing how many garbage trucks, cars and kids went down that little old road after dark!
Friendly, close to downtown (Plaza Pratt) and priced right.
