Hotel Pacifico: Hotel Near the Ocean

Hotel Pacifico was described as a three star hotel when we made plans to travel to Algarrobo. The outside was colorfully painted, but the inside needed work. Our rooms were in the section by the swimming pool, but the arrangement of the rooms left alot to be desired.

The rooms were simply furnished and needed touched up; the bathrooms were antiquated and in need of refurbishing. However, the location was perfect and the breakfast buffet which was included in the room cost was adequate. The problem was in the design of the building in which we were lodged. One set of windows opened up from our room to a hallway--there was no way we were going to leave them open for anyone who walked by to peek in and there were no screens.

I would give this hotel a two star rating, with a possibility of a 3 star IF the rooms were touched up and IF the bathrooms were redone. Otherwise, this is a 2 star hotel. The higher price of the hotel per night was due to it being high season. But as mentioned earlier, it was ideally located and the breakfast wasn't bad.
