An old colonial town situated 80km north from Santiago and on the International Road towards Argentina. Los Andes is set in the beautiful and fertile Aconcagua valley. There isn't so much to see and do in the town except to take lunch at one of the restaurants near the square or relax in the Plaza de Armas or in the cafes where you can people watch. There's an opportunity to climb Cerro de la Virgen, the hill behind the town for panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
There are a couple of interesting musuems that are worth visiting including the Museo Arqueologico.
