A Wonderful Host and A Great Setting

My wife and I came down to visit our daughter in college in Valpo. Martin at The Yellow House was a wonderful host and the apartment he had for us met our needs perfectly. Martin extended himself on a daily basis to make sure each of our daily activities was a success. Located at the top of one of the Ascensors and overlooking the harbor The Yellow House is a great base to explore the city. We did a cooking class with Boris (the Italian Chilean!), got to visit a couple of exceptional wineries with Mike the Sommelier, walked the city and had great food everywhere and great wine too. In the mornings you can look out over the harbor along with the dog and cats next door that climb up on the roof to catch the morning sun and watch the boats.

Unique Quality: Martin has a network of contacts so you'll never be a loss for something to do and the apartment is a great set up.

Yellow House Bed & Breakfast - Cerro Artilleria

The Yellow House Bed & Breakfast is an absolute gem of a place located on Cerro Artilleria in Valparaiso. The place has private rooms that have private baths also. The hosts, Lissette and Martin, speak both English and Spanish and are super friendly. Included in the price is a fabulous breakfast in the dining room which has been decorated with unique stained glass windows. The facilities include a kitchen which can be used by guests, a TV & Book room and internet access. All of this for $29,000 pesos per night.
