Hotel O'Higgins: Review by a OneTime.com User from London

This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. The rooms were fithy (the toilet was blocked with a used condom), noisy and uncomfortable. Although there were exceptions, on the whole the staff were rude and incompetent. The management of the hotel was diabolical. The one night we ate in the restaurant there were two waiters serving more than 100 people. Several customers walked out.
Prioer to booking we did read a review on virtualtourist.com saying it was an awful hotel but chose to ignore it. Don't make the same mistake. If we'd booked through an agent we would have demanded our money back. last visit on January, 2005.
We enjoyed ourselves at this hotel . Sure its not what it once was ...I'm sure but the service was great , and the room clean ,,,even though they were a little worn ....the bar was the best!!
We loved the great old bar...it had alot of character.
They have a nice little garden with pool, but the pool was full of leaves and did'nt look very clean. :-( Cool style - the hotel was built in the 1930ies.
