Pucon in November
by blissdivine
Is it worthwhile to visit Pucon in November? How many days would be good here? What is the weather like around this time? If yes, can anyone recommend reasonable hotels? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

#1. Yes it is normally worth a try at that time. People are going now at this date and have talked to numerous people in the last weeks who had a good time.
#2. 4 0r 5 days would be nice if you are into the outdoors and try to have a reserve of a couple extra days in case you get some rainy days.
#3. Weather can be fair and also sometimes rainy and generally on the cool side.
#4. What price range are looking for and what type of place and ambiance are you looking for. I know some places that are very nice for about $15 to $25 US

Personally I stay away from the big typical hotels because of no ambiance and you don´t get to know the locals and the culture. Talk soon, Scott

Parque Nacional Villarrica
by spidermiss
The main attraction of this national park is Volcan Villarrica. A lot of visitors sign up to climb the volcano and then slide down. The park stretches across to the Argentine border covering three sectors including Sector Ricapillan features Volacn Villarrica. To climb up Volcan Villarrica you need to sign up with a guided tour and there are a number of companies in Pucon who offer this tour. The less visited sectors are Quetrupillan with its termas and waterfall and close to the Argentine border, Sector Puesco with Laguna Abutardes and Volcan Quetrupillan and on the Argentine border itself, there's Volcan Lanin! To climb and appreciate the volcano, you're best making arrrangements in San Martin de Los Andes in Argentina.
