The Tree House Hostel

I highly recommend staying in this cosy rustic hostel. The founders of the hostel, Christian and Sarah are very knowledgeable and have extensive travel experience of South America. A variety of excursions can be arranged for the guests including visits to the local Mapuche communities. There is a mixture of dorms and private rooms with great comfy beds especially the mattresses. There is a spacious common rooms, guest kitchens and shared bathroom facilities. Outside there is an extensive garden where you can climb up to the treehouse to admire Volcan Villarrica or relax in the garden hammocks. The garden also acts as a meeting point where you can meet other guests to exchange travel stories and meet the two residents' dog, Cortito and Kiro. Only criticism I have is that breakfast isn't included in the rate although it can be provided at a reasonable charge.

Unique Quality: The treehouse for great views of Volcan Villarrica.
Rustic lodgings makes the perfect place for relaxing after a hard day's hike or intensive Spanish lessons.

A: "Hi! I don't think you need to book a seat on the bus, the end of March is outside the normal tourist season. Turbus, probably the most trusted in Chile, has 10 busses..."
