Good For Solo
Small, comfortable and friendly hostal, not really a backpackers-type.
In residential area in the northern part of Bogota, quiet, safe and in small park.
The owner Don Eduardo and his wife Doña Claudia run this hostal since a couple of years and are very friendly. I stay here with them since December 2006 and since then every time I am in Bogota and always enjoy it very much.
Close to shopping mall (Isera 100-now Carrefour- with good food court), supermarket (CAFAM), shops and the Transmilenio bus transportation system. Restaurants (lunch, dinner for 3 to 5 euros, breakfast at Coffi-Pan for less than 1 euro) and laundries also close by.
They arrange transportation to/from the airport and other excursions and transportation at reasonable, competitive prices.
Depending on type of room and occupancy, between 50 and 60 Euros per night per room, all with private bathroom. Simple breakfast included. Longer stays negotiable. Very much recommended.
Info updated February 2011.
Unique Quality: Very friendly and in a very quiet and very safe residential area.
