If you want a higher end place to stay in Bogotá, you could do worse than to stay at this attractive low-key location of the Estelar chain. I found the people friendlier and the accommodations nicer than several more expensive options in the city. The room was fairly spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. The downside is that the immediate neighborhood is rather sleepy, so it's not ideal for sight-seeing or nightlife, although there is a big supermarket a few blocks away if you need food, refreshments, or toiletries. But I will say that the in-house food was quite nice too. You have to pay a rather high daily fee if you want to use their wireless access, though.
Better value for the money than many similar options. Also has a gym. Close to the cyclist/pedestrian route on Av. Septima on Sundays if you want to roam or cycle the streets of Bogotá without any cars in your way.
