The Hotel Tequendama at one time was one of the best hotels in Bogota. Actually, it's still nice. The lobby is elegantly marbled and the service is attentive, but it's starting to show its age and the rooms really have no character. The restaurant wasn't spectacular and the location is really pretty bad. Sure, you're close to the historic Candelaria area, but it's still not safe to walk around, so being within walking distance doesn't necessarily mean you'll actually walk. The street is busy and the downtown area is very polluted and dead in the evening. I really can't bash the hotel, but I wouldn't stay here again at these prices considering the location.
