Hotel Colonial: Most people make it a day trip but...

Most people just make a day trip from Bogota in car or train, but if you want to spend some time exploring the town, and not just viewing the Cathedral, this hotel will get you int mood for some colonial exploration.

Designed to have the feel of a hacienda the 50 or so rooms are spread on two floors around open courtyards. The rooms are simple, and there was no hot water when we were there but it is clean and the beds are comfortable. There are TVs with Cable, and for around $20 you can't go wrong. Also on normal weekends no reservations are needed so you can just show up.
