Hotel Amazon Bed and Breakfast: beautiful, nice decoration and comfortable rooms

I travelled to Colombia on a family trip and Leticia was the highlight of our experience. Our stay at The hotel Amazon Bed & Breakfast was exceptional, the staff is friendly and the bungalows are very comfortable large enough for a family. The hotel has a beautiful garden, cafeteria and a large reception were you can use internet wi-fi if you bring your own computer. The central location and the good sleep you get here makes the hotel very good value for the money.

Hotel Amazon Bed & Breakfast: excellent value for the money - beautiful hotel

I stayed at the hotel Amazon Bed & Breakfast from June 2 to June 8 and could not have been more happier with my experience. The bungalows are spacious, clean, modern but typical at the same time.

The bungalows have two rooms, a main room and a smaller room with a hammock. The room and bathroom are very clean. Yes there are cheaper rates in Leticia, but they are hostels who many times are dirty, with small rooms, dark and in a concrete building. This hotel offers light, spacious bungalow with a nice green garden so you really get value for the money. The breakfast is good and the hotel offers a very good variety of excursions along the Amazon river. Antoher good thing is the central location. Everything is on walking distance from the hotel, located only one square from the main plaza, parque Santander.

Apart from the beautiful bungalows, the hotel also has meeting rooms, a cafeteria, a large reception and a very beautiful garden. The staff are very friendly and helpfull!

Hotel Amazon Bed & Breakfast: A excellent choice in Leticia

I stayed at the hotel Amazon Bed & Breakfast from 22 february through february 28 and could not have been more happier with my experience. The bungalows are spacious, clean, modern but typical at the same time.

The bungalows have two rooms, a main room and a smaller room with a hammock. The room and bathroom are very clean. Yes there are cheaper rates in Leticia, but they are hostels who many times are dirty, with small rooms, dark and in a concrete building. This hotel offers light, spacious bungalow with a nice green garden so you really get value for the money. The breakfast is good and the hotel offers a very good variety of excursions along the Amazon river. Antoher good thing is the central location. Amazonaslife: Downtown Jungle in Leticia

Leticia has now a couple of upmarket hotels, such as the DECAMERON TICUNA Lodge or ANACONDA Hotel (prices range from 40 to 150 USD). The bottom end accommodation facilities (residencias) are often not very clean.

On the website www.amazonaslife.com I have found a hostel / guest house and tested it during my last visit to Leticia in March 2007.

"www.amazonaslife.com" is offering a real DOWNTOWN JUNGLE with INDIAN MALOKA, where guests can have a beer or relax in a hammack. Accommondation is hostel / guest house type, only approx. 6 beds available. Computer use and use of kitchen is free.
I missed a pool (Leticia is sometimes quite hot) and the rooms and beds are quite simple. The matrasses could be improved. However, for 20.000 Pesos (10 USD) for a single room you cannot expect too much. Facility is ideal for single travelers or backpackers. For honeymoon experiences this guest house is not very suitable, as the bathroom is located outside the rooms. But facilities are clean, as they are run by a Colombian, who lived many years in Belgium. Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Dutch spoken.
