Hostel/ Cheap Hotel recommendations for Leticia & Bogota
I've been having some trouble finding somewhere decent to stay in Leticia. Does anyone have suggestions for somewhere reasonable to stay? We usually stay in hostels but get a private room with bathroom...
While I am asking- any recommendations for Bogota too?
Any other advice on Leticia/ the Amazon would be great!

Unfortunately I haven't been to Leticia so I can not help you with this one. But Bogotá I know quite well. It's an interesting big city, there is a lot to see and explore so plan to stay at least two or three days. I visited a few times and always stayed in Platypus hostel. This hostel I can really recommend, it's one of the best, if not best, hostel I've ever stayed. It is located in attractive old quarter La Candelaria, within walking distance of many museums, bars, restaurants, buses - including TransMilenio, banks, ATMs and Plaza de Bolivar. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and German, the owner, is one of the nicest person I met during my Colombian trips.

Ya You can Visit apartmentinbogota .com because They are giving accommodation in Colombia. So them group in Leticia also so they give you room for rent.

Thanks for the advice so far... We are checking out those places and also looking into the Cranky Croc & Hostel Sue. Anyone know these places??
I wish someone had some tips for Leticia! The reviews for some of those places are so up & down so it is hard to make a decision!

In Bogota I always stay either in Hotel Dann Norte (75 euros/night) or in Hostal Bogota Real (35/40 euros/night).
