Hotel Berlin

I knew there was a hotel at the plaza in La Plata but the taxi driver who drove me from the bus terminal told me there were two. He dropped me outside one of them and I had a look at one of the rooms. For a single room with bathroom it was 25 000 pesos. The room looked okay (except there were some noise from the TV in the reception) but I wanted to have a look at the other hotel as well and that was Hotel Berlin, on the same side of the park. The room at Hotel Berlin was smaller and more simple, but was cheaper. It was only 15 000 peso (July 2008) and besides a bathroom there was also a TV (so I could watch news and music videos in the evening). I also got a soap and a towel.

Hotel Iguazu: Near Bus Station

Pretty stale, characterless place. Location near bus station is handy.

Spanish only, no English spoken.

Single room w/o bath : 8,000pesos
Single room w/ bath & TV : 12,000pesos
