Hotel Oceania: Hotels in Bocagrande

18 nights here. Not the cheapest place in cartagena for an extended stay. Cost about 80USD for a double room. Rooms have a nice TV with cable, minibar and a large shower. Pool is small but ok to kick back in. Real close to the beach but not the nicest part of the beach. 15 ft from Hilton-Cartagena which has an ATM machine to the right of the lobby and a nice but pricy bar (4 drinks ran 50 USD). Staff is fantastic. Breakfast every morning consisting of eggs, fresh fruit, meat stuffed pastries similar to empanadas, various juices, coffee, cereals yogurt included with the room. Hotel has a safe and internet and armed guards at night.

Service is good. Pricy compared to other places that are comparable

Various: Bocagrande

If your visiting Cartagena Bocagrande is the best place to stay if your looking for night live. There are several hotels and apartment blocks right along the beach and open bars. Lots of places to eat and drink and it has a holiday atmosphere. Most of the restaurants and night clubs are based here along with many shops and cheap place to eat. If you want to explore the Old city stay inside the wall, there are plenty of hotels some are expensive or if your on a tight budget stay in one of the many cheap hotels in Getsmani.
