Cali Hotel
My husband and I stayed at Cali Plaza Hotel while visiting family in Cali. We enjoyed the hotel an reccomend staying in an Apartment. The apartments are much larger that the Standard Rooms. We liked the restaurant Archies which is 1 block from Cali Plaza (Great Breakfast), and Juan Valdez Coffee about 3 blocks away. I speak Spanish, but if you don't. The owner speaks English. When we visit Cali again, we will stay at Cali Plaza.
Unique Quality: Near Best Restaurants in Granada Barrio.

Great Hotel
I recommend Cali Plaza Hotel if you are planning on visiting Cali. Is near nice coffee shops, fine dining and the bars of Sixth Avenue. The rooms are very clean and very inexpensive. Claude (owner) and his staff are the best! Rooms are clean daily and if you need anything they are there to assist you. A major plus for me, they speak English. Enjoyed my stay and will be back soon.
Unique Quality: Excellent staff, near shopping, dining, bars.

Recommend Stay Cali Plaza Hotel & Eat at El Solar
Cali Plaza is a Great Location for Singles and Adventurers looking for the action. It has the best location for restaurants, bars, shops and discos. I enjoyed my stay there, except one thing. A few days were great, but the weekend that I was in Cali, was the National Election for a new president (May 30, 2010). Almost everything was closed. No bars were open and no liquor was sold in the entire country. Not a great weekend to party. My friends and I visited Chipichape a popular shopping center. My favorite restaurant in Cali is El Solar, which is only 2 blocks from Cali Plaza Hotel.
Unique Quality: I like the use of Free Cell Phone (You buy the minutes).
Nice Sidewalk Cafe in Front of Cali Plaza Hotel.
Atm just accross the street from Cali Plaza.
No Hidden Charges. Taxes was included in room price.
No extra charge for a guest.
Free WiFi in Room and in Restaurant.

Hotel Café Tostaky
Hi, there is a great place in Cali, with rooms for short or long time. I`'s called Café Tostaky, the owners are a french guy and his colombian wife. Nice place in the San Antonio district, the only colonial place of the city with a lot of little bars.
I was there one week, you can cook, wash and meet some people.

Great place to stay by english speaking owner Clau
I rented the apartment for $ 94 a night. Full kitchen, 2 AC = 1 in bedroom other in living room.
19 inch LCD tv mounted on wall. Excellent maid service. Great english speaking owner-Claude who gives you a phone but you must purchase a card for minutes.
Includes free breakfast next door. Next to bars,disco,internet cafe, grocery.
I did not need or use the kitchen other than the full size fridge but had space to stretch my legs and relax.
Ask
Unique Quality: No Pool, close to great places to eat on AVE 9.
Ask for englsih speaking taxi driver Jorge Eduardo who often takes guest of this Hotel around for city tour, nightclub, place to eat steaks.

New Aparta-Hotel in Cali
Great location and good restaurant. Best of all, the manager and owner speak English. I speak very little Spanish, There were many Foreigners and Americans that visit and socialize in the Cafe/Bar. Cali Plaza is located near 6th. Avenue, the main tourist area of Cali. It is a convenient location, less need for taxies. Almost everything you need is within walking distance
