Bahia de Caraquez, A Great Destination

"Brief but Unforgetable Visit"

Bahia de Caraquez, is one of the those places that serves as a great central point for reaching other destinations or attractions. We spend about 1/2 day in this city which is one of the biggest on the Ecuadorian Coast besides Salinas and Atacames. It offers a spectacular view, its shore is bathe by both the River Chone and the Pacific Ocean. It is small enough to walk or bike around it without tiring; at the same time it has the appeal of a city with its landscape of tall buildings and the constant flow of people who in the majority come from the neighboring areas to shop and run errands.

"Vacation"

Bahia is located in the ecuadorian coast in the province of Manabi.
It is a very nice city to visit. You can find several hotels, restaurants.
The city is safe and it is nice to see the "triciclos" which are bicycles with a carriage.
Near this beach there are some beautiful beaches like Canoa and Los Frailes. Also there is a Island called "Isla Corazon" it has lots of birds so if you arte interested on "Birdwatching" this Island and another place in called Mindo (Mindo is near Quito) are ideal for it.
There is a Tourism information center there.
It take apprx. 5 hours to get to Bahia from Quito and by bus maybe 6 hours.
The weather goes between 20-30 degrees
