Alandaluz: Ecologically Friendly Place to Stay
Alandaluz is a hidden treasure, in the small town Puerto Rico just south of Puerto Lopez and Solango. The beach is completely undeveloped, and the waves are amazing. The food is exotic (not just typical fried fish with rice), and the bungalows are very comfortable.
There are two choices of bungalow - those with normal bathrooms and those with compost toilets. THere really isn't much difference between the two, other than that one you flush, and the other you drop sawdust down.
Two of the bungalows are right on the beach, and it is possible to sleep with the balcony doors open such that you can watch the waves while lying in bed. The sound of the waves pounding the beach lulls you to sleep. The stars couldn't be brighter on the dark beach.
The location is pristine
The food is creative and tasty
The rooms a clean and big
The staff is friendly
The drinks are made well (a little weak though)
The waves are fun
