Hostal La Cartuja: Good Building, Great Location, Iffy Staff

  • This hotel, which apparently is the old British Embassy, is in a nice refurbished house in a great part of the city (right near El Ejido Park and Mariscal Sucre). However, the staff was not very friendly, and reneged on their claim that breakfast was included in their fare (even though they said it was on the phone, and advertise online and in guidebooks that it is).
