Economical, yet cozy, accomodation in Quito

Don't let the name fool you, it sounds like a big, international hotel. But, this place is just a simple, yet comfortable, Ecuadoran hotel. It's only a few blocks away from Amazonas Avenue.

They take Amex, Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa.

Unique Quality: Friendly staff, great location, decent breakfasts. All for very little cash.

And speaking of unique qualities, the rooms have some of the most bizarre paintings you've seen. Almost disturbing in some ways. The one in our room looked like a paint-by-numbers version of Munch's "The Scream"

There is a restaurant on-site, and the food is good if unremarkable. Breakfast is a good deal and of good quality.
