Very nice if you are on a budget
The place was nice enough, with free internet. The first night I was concerned because my front door lock didn't seem very secure. I stayed one additional night at the end of my trip and the lock in the room was fine.

Our tour hotel
This is the hotel we had to check into for our Gap tour to the Galapagos. It is situated in the "new area". Well what a difference from the historical area. Armed guards were everywhere. If you went to an ATM machine they would usually escort you or at least keep an eye on you. I guess they've had mugging problems in the past but these guards make it seem quite safe. I wouldn't go roaming around too far at night though.
The hotel was ok. Seemed to be one of the better ones in that area. Breakfast was above average and included. Recommended.
Unique Quality: Free internet room. The hotel is close to the El Jardin mall which was good and 2 blocks from the funky restaurant and internet area.
