La Tentiaire is pretty much ideally located near the centre of St Laurent, but not so close as to be too close, if you get what I mean. I
ts about 3 minutes walk from most of the nightlife there, and about the same distance from the market place in the centre of town which is usually busy on a Saturday morning. The market place is also where you can find 'collectifs' going to Kourou and Cayenne.
The hotel has a kind of rustic feel to it, wooden beams, tiled floors etc etc, the rooms are quite spacious and there is quite a good breakfast in the morning, I think out of the hotels in St Laurent, this is probably the best. There are a couple of hotels a few Km outside of the town, which I've heard are pretty good, but never stayed there so can't really say, and I know that they are a bit more expensive too.
If you're looking to stay in a clean hotel near the action, this is the place for you.

The Star is located right in the centre of town, with views overlooking the towns rugby and football pitches and located right next to quite a reasonable bar. It has a swimming pool though its not massive.
The rooms are a little worse off than La Tentiaire, but the hotel isn't as expensive and it does have more rooms.
