Best of very few North American Standard hotels

Princess is equivalent to a Standard family hotel in Canada. Your not gonna get better than this in Guyana. 110 power air conditioned and all standard amenities etc what you would expect at standard in North American hotel. Felt very comfortable and secure the pool is great!

Nice stay

decent place to be in the evening as the day cools off, nice food at the pool side...looks like lots of ex-pats or Guyanese born overseas based folks return and expect to find a Canadian, US or UK standard based hotel....get real folks, you are in Guyana, land of your parents/grand parents, people are working for a living and doing their best to accommodate you...you will not be the first or last Canadian, us or UK Guyanese to visit and you are not the royal princess of Guyana...so all I got to sat is get real, some accommodations will not meet your standards, deal with it or stay overseas.... I have a great time there at Buddys and now Princess....peace out...

Unique Quality: Good enough to take friends, family for a short stay...

worst place to stay

i think it was the worst place to stay when i arrived i feel like i wasn't welcomed the reception was not friendly i find the girl to be quite stuck up and the elevators doesn't work well and what is with all the security it just makes people uncomfortable anyway when i went to the room it was smelly the hall way was smelling damp and moldy the room was quite large but too much tile on the floor need some rugs it was too sticky on the feet and the balcony was dirty and wet all the time however when we enter the bathroom there was a puddle of water on the floor the shower was dirty and now working well it took a long time for the water to heat up the room was smelly and dirty don't recommend it. the pool area was great very large pool but i didn't like when we had breakfast the scrambled eggs was not cooked properly and it was cold and alot of flies are flying around and on your food. The worst experience i had was when i went to the casino when i felt like i was harassed by the security to check my bag it even fell on the ground and when i went into the casino we decide to go to the bar for a drink and the bar tender told us that we can't get our drinks there that we have to find a waitress to get us our drinks. i have been to many casino in Canada and US and its never like that then we tried to play the machine and the staff came and said that the machine don't take money we have to get a voucher but they weren't nice about it they were so rude and they kept following us like we were criminals it was not a good experience.
the staff need to dress more appropriate for the casino.
i don't recommend staying here the only good feature was the pool and even at the pool side you have to wait 1hour for an order of fries. i had a better experience at the Pegasus for cheaper
