Bamboo Landing: Communal snoring

In addition to the self contained cottages, ther is Bamboo Landing. This is where we were acommodated.

One large room on two levels with seventten beds! Two sets of showers and toilets, one on each level.

I am next to Len. Oh dear. Not only does he murmur, talk and shout in his sleep, he also sings! It is a very "interesting" couple of nights!

Shanklands Resort: Bamboo Landing

Shankland is a lovely resort set in large grounds on the Essequibo River. Lawns lead between the wooden gingerbread cottages, which range from luxurious to rustic.

Shanklands has its own jetty, and a small beach on the riverside.
