Half of the participants of the tour were accommodated in the main guest house, where there were four twin rooms with two single beds with mosquito nets. Also in the same building was a proper Western toilet and a very welcome shower. I had not expected a shower and had thought that the toilet would be a smelly long-drop situated some distance from the guest house. The only draw back was the fact that it was all in one large room, with only low-ish dividing walls - the sounds travel well during the still of the night!
Other people weren't quite so satisfied with their accommodation. The four single girls were given hammocks in one of the village houses, and were most put out, feeling that they had paid the same amount for the trip as those of us who slept in beds. Another couple and the two single men were in a third buidling.
