Meeting in Asuncion?
I´m a psychotherapist and writer from Germany travelling South America- I´ll arrive in Asuncion about the 5th November 03 and plan to stay there for a couple of days. Would any local care to meet me and maybe show and tell me a bit about the town? I also speak some Spanish (though worse than English).

I hope someone will like to meet you, but the chance is very small. I have been 3 times to Paraguay (lived there more than a year in 1980). My tip is: go to San Bernadino on the border of the Lake East of Asuncion. There are many German people living in Paraguay, but they are very unsimular (Mennonites, Nietsche-people and ex-Nazi's). Spanish is not enoug in Paraguay; you need to speak some Guarani too!
Enjoy your short stay there; I still like the country.
