Hotel Los Alpes: Moderate stay but one of the towns best
I came to town for a wedding with some friends. Not wanting to drive late and not wanting to worry about driving with alcohol, we decided not to return to Asuncion.
The hotel Los Alpes is a rather old landmark in town. It is not in the center, but rather a ~5 minute drive from the center. The hotel is decent enough, but you can tell it is a few years old.
The rooms were clean, but for example, the open air windows in the bathrooms let mosquitoes in. We had to keep the bathroom door closed. The walls were thin so we could hear people in the next rooms. If you happen to be next to the laundry room, I apologize in advance if you are a light sleeper.
The hotel does offer two small pools. They are not heated, so the water will depend on the weather and sunshine.
Breakfast and WiFi are included in the rooms. Parking is free also.
