Noisy Room
In my opinion this hotel is over-rated. The room I stayed in was small and very noisy. You can hear everything from the rooms next door and also above. This is not good when you want a good night's sleep as many people get up between 1am & 5am to leave for their Colca Canyon tours. The staff were okay but nowhere near as helpful as in other places I stayed in Peru. I'm sure for there is better accommodation available for the same price in Arequipa.

A chain, but a good one
You'll find the Casa Andina chain of hotels all over the country, but this is the only one we stayed in. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a cup of Coca tea, which helps with the altitude and tastes pretty good too. A bellhop took our bags up to our bright, clean room. The bathroom was very spacious and the beds, complete with thick, soft alpaca blankets, were comfortable and warm.
Unique Quality: The location is the only thing that could be improved on a bit. It's close to the Plaza de Armas, but still slightly on the edge of town (a ten minute walk to the center).
There are many amenities such as:
- an ATM machine in the lobby
- currency exchange at the front desk
- free breakfast/restaurant on premises
- elevator
- sun deck on 4th floor
- Opinion of Price: about average
