Me and my wife just came back from our tour to Colca Canyon with Inka Fest Travel and our services went excellent. Our guide Alberto was fantastic ,spoke very well english and very funny , giving us full of information during the whole trip.
The accommodations were the best during the whole tour and the landscapes were awesome!!
Evelyn was very helpful and a friendly girl and she gave us many advices for the rest of our trip in Peru and Bolivia.

Arequipa Cathedral

by kiwigal_1

The Arequipa Cathedral is located on the Plaza de Armas in central Arequipa. The building is considered one of the first 17th Century religious monuments of Arequipa. Like many of the buildings in Arequipa it is made of the distinctive white volcanic stone called sillar.
Arequipa is prone to earthquakes so much of the original cathdral has been re-built. The last major earthquake in 2001 caused serious damage to the cathdral's towers.

The cathedral can be visited during Monday to Saturday 7:30 - 11:30 am or 4:30 - 7:30 pm or Sundays 7:00 am - 1:30pm or 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Monasterio de Santa Catalina - Kitchen

by Amareyui

The nuns didnt cook for themselves during the first 300 years of the establishment of the convent; they had maids doing all the work for them.
This is the kitchen besides the nun's room, with a small attached cell for the maid(s) to live in.

AREQUIPA - a white town

by Zirpsis

One of the better to do towns, where there actually are jobs or at least the towns people look busy. Arequipa is built of white local stone which gives the town center that special touch. Architecture looks nice, too.
