Cosy and charming hostal
There’s nothing fancy or luxurious about Hostal El Balcon, but instead cosy and charming settings in an old remodelled colonial building, and a great staff - always smiling, friendly, and very helpful – and they created a great familiar atmosphere...
The room was a little small, but clean and with good beds, 3-4 blankets, electric heater to warm up the room, TV (local channels), and a big and clean bathroom with hot water. Breakfast (fruit, yogurt, juice, bread, and eggs) was served at the small dining area, which also was a nice place to hang out and chat with the other guests... There was coca tea available for free during the day, and in the evening you could order soups, omelettes and a few other small dishes from the kitchen... I loved the place!

Beautiful little hotel
I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They stored our bags while we were gone on the 4 day hike to Machu Picchu. A very lovely place.
