We chose to move hotels during the second week of our trip due to our first hotel being at the top of hill (my BF was suffering from altitude sickness and walking the hill was hard for him).
Pirwa Hostel is located just a few feet from Plaza de Armas. They matched the price we were paying at our previous hotel so we got a double bed (matrimonial) and a private bath for 70 soles a night.
Our room was big with a dresser and a night stand. It also had a tv with cable. There is wifi and a computer for internet access.
The hostel offers cheap laundry service for 3 soles per kilo, same day service. This was a great deal!
A few complaints about this hostel was that it was hard to get wifi in the room and the smoking in the common areas seeps into the room. Also, there is a club a few doors down and you can hear the club music until 6am. It wasn't loud enough to keep us awake but still loud enough to hear.
They also have a pet cat, so if you have allergies this may not be the place for you.
If I go back to Cusco I'd rather stay at the WalkOn Inn than this place again. But it's not bad as a second choice.
