Little piece of Paradise

While I stay in this charming brand new hostel I percieved a very warm atmosphere and wonderful peace. Their hosts, a nice bilingual couple, make our stay quite wonderful. We asked for special services and they did their best to provide them to us, special food, fruits, and even expand our ideas of the history not only of the Valley, but also of the colony and the good things about it!.
We share wonderful evenings in a cottage kind of rooms with brand new linens and good bathrooms with hot showers!!! (hard to find in this country kind of acomodations) and had very special evenings where we were presented andean dishes that were prepared by our hosts.(Each day a new dish with local products)
This place although is not as big and fancy as a 5 star hotel, in the end it has something that big hotels do not offer, and this is feeling as you were the owner of the place!!! Their hosts allow you to feel like this....Although is small in comparison to other places it has its own confort as well as open spaces around the orchard...has a great open fireplace that allow you to see the starry nights (there are no lights in the surroundings it is pitch black) The cafeteria is near the Tv area (Satellite TV, with 160 channels, we could see all the news in any language) so we preferred to watch a movie while having our dinners, and afterward or maybe before we take all our time to see our mails in the free internet service they provide...
The hostel is small, they only have room for 8 to 10 persons, (they are bulding 4 cabins more)so the attention is almost 'one to one service', we were lucky, we were the only ones there, so we had all the attention for us...
I will recommend a couple of days here if you wish to have a full inmersion with the reality of this area of the world. I actually planned to stay for 1 night with my partner but realy ended staying for 5 nights!.
If you are a real traveller, give yourself the chance and experience a quiet and peaceful trip and really learn what means to be one!!!!

Unique Quality: El Huerto is really an ecological Orchard, 50 trees of apple, 50 trees of plums and also peaches, as well as native fruits that are near its extintion in the Valley....From here, their administrators prepare their organic jams, and they dry the fruits to serve them in their inca-granola breakfast... They are also in a proyect of making it more and more eco-safe buissness as well as to give their visitors a close contact with the locals, as they share a cultural circuit were you can live the experience of many activities like: honey extration, or taking a short 'hands on' course in ceramics, or making local chicha beverage, as in acient times and many other activities: trekking, adobe making, sowing and harvesting, etc.
