San Isidro: Good, safe hostel

This hostel is near the cementary, a few minutes walk from the town's square (Plaza de Armas). It is safe and secure.

In 2005, we paid $10 each for a clean double room with a private bathroom. Hot water all day.
Back then we smiled at the 'gather here in case of earthquake' signs but then of course Pisco was hit by a big quake and half the town destroyed. The hotel is still standing and now has a website (see below)

Swimming pool
Free use of kitchen, pool table and washing machine.
Small bar with reasonably priced snacks, sodas and beers.

Friendly service.

Hostal San Isidro: Hostal San Isidro

This is a very nice hostal. Nice modern bathrooms with plentiful hotwater, billards, ping pong, cable TV, foosball, a kitchen, and a nice pool.

It´s a bit expensive at $7 for a dorm room but if you are looking for a bit of comfort it is well worth it.

Pisco isn´t the safest town and the hostel isn´t located in the safest part of Pisco.

You get the feeling that you are in a very nice and safe place yet you are surrounded by the exact opposite.

Moto taxis are mandatory for getting around at night for safety reasons.

Hostal San Isidro: Pisco´s Backpackers Destination

Mhhhh,My Friends and I arrived to the san Isidro hostal during the evening,and they helped us to arrange the tours to the ballestas islands for a non-expensive price,
we had the pleasure to meet Alejandros family(who is the owner of the hostal),and the workers were also very friendly and helpful,they provided us of a really nice hospitality,and we felt like at home!
they were more than "accomodations providers" they were like friends to us!
if one of you have ever t the chance to visit that beautiful town of Pisco ,Never doubt to go to this hostal.

they have a new swimming pool,kitchen facilities,laundry for free,ping pong and pool table.
A well organized bar which closes at 11 pm,where you can taste several kind of cocktails,so as non-alcoholic drinks as well!
workers are more than helpful and ready to offer their friendship!
it was a great great feeling to stay there,in a family atmosphere!
thiis hostal is located only 8 minutes away from the main bus station,in a non dangerous area. and it is also recommended for most of the travel guide books!
a great deal!

Posada Hispana: Very Nice Hostal

This is a very pleasant inn just one block from main square and two or three blocks from bus terminals. Very clean and friendly staff, speak several languages. Rooms immaculate and comfortable, with TV and bath with hot water. Charming place with tiles throughout. Nice rooftop terrace. From here you can arrange tours to Ballestas and Paracas. Well worth a two night stay.
