Hotel Stefano’s is a comfortable tourist-class hotel in the upscale Miraflores district of Lima, occupied by American and European tourists. The staff all speak English quite fluently and are generally quite helpful, particularly when it comes to making local tour arrangements. A luggage room is also available for those who must leave their baggage at the hotel after checking out and before departing for the airport. Two computers with free Internet access are available just off the front lobby for those who need to check their email or make arrangements in the area. The hotel and rooms are ‘70s in décor and not luxurious, but are fine for those who are visiting Lima and don’t plan on spending much time in the room. Free breakfast is also served on one of the floors, and the wait staff are friendly and efficient, taking orders at the table and returning quickly with Western-style fare. The hotel is also conveniently within walking distance of the shops and restaurants lining downtown Miraflores, and the streets surrounding the hotel are generally quite safe. I had a good stay here, Its a medium size place, its very clean, nice, people working are friendly, bathrooms are clean, your about 5min walk from Kennedy Park, which is the main place in Mira Flores, all the restaurants, parks, people and what not. For $12 its really a good price, free internet also. This hostel is the new little brother of the stunning Loki hostel in Cusco, built in the 1920’s this house was used up until 2000 as a place for offices…yawn, But! In 2005 was transformed beautifully into the place to stop and party in Lima.
Slap bang in the heart of Miraflores, this is where many journeys begin, end or continue and we are here to see that this is one of those places that you remember when the grandkids are sitting on your knee!!
With our in-house bar offering great views of Miraflores park and surrounding areas, friendly out going staff who have all the answers! We will point you in the right direction to all the best bars, clubs, restaurants and of course markets (ohh how we love them … never enough furry jumpers in the world!)

The final evening of my 10 day trip to Peru, I stayed at the J.W. Marriott Hotel. This was the best hotel I stayed at on my trip to Peru. When I checked in, they gave me a $185 room rate, but when I told them this was my last night in Peru and was looking for a good rate, he dropped it to $125 (this was a Saturday Night also.) The hotel was immaculate, clean, the staff professional and friendly. My flight on Sunday didn't leave till 11:50 at night and the Marriott held my bags in safe storage for no charge after I checked out (and a 3:00pm late check out at that !) The view of the ocean and Marco Lar is everything they say it is. If your coming to Lima, please, take the opportunity to stay at some of the smaller hotels, you'll save some money. Use that extra money to see a couple of extra sights and buy some extra gifts for your friends and family back home.. and save a little to stay a night or two here.... its worth it.
