    The B&B Hostal Tradiciones was an excellent place to stay. The owner spoke perfect English. It was close to Miraflores center, about a 15 minute walk. And it was also within walking distance of Huaca Pucllana, a pyramind within the Lima city limits! There was hot water - all you had to do was ask the owner to turn on the heater and within an hour you had hot steamy water, a luxury in Peru. The owner was extrememly helpful and hospitable. He had breakfast at the door waiting for us each morning, he provided maps and suggestions on what to see and how much things were (so the locals didn't rip us off) and arranged for taxis to and from restaurants a little more out of the way. When we left he gave us all a cute little bobble head turtle with the name of the Hostel on it. My only complaint was that he loved to talk. It took us 45 minutes to get out of the hotel the first morning because he was so enthusiastic on what we should see in Lima. Not a big deal really.

    I have no idea where this hostel is but it's quite convenient, in the middle of local buildings. A small nite market nearby, a handful of restaurants and bars downstairs.... Breakfast is served at an open restaurant downstairs.

  • Iīve stayed at this nice 3 stars-hotel in Miraflores and recommend it. They offer a nice breakfast and comfortable accommodation in a very good location, near Larcomar.

  • I had requested a courtesy car to pick me up from the airport and the car was on time. Upon reaching the hotel, in addition to the key, I was given a coupon for a free Pisco Sour at the bar. The room was nice and clean and had a TV. One major negative point is that my room did not have air conditioning. At least I did not see anywhere to turn it on. It is a good thing it was not too hot of a day or it would have been unbearable. I did check my expedia papers and it did not list air conditioning on my papers. On future travels to South America, I will remember to make sure that air conditioner is listed as available. The bathroom was clean. The staff was helpful and I was allowed to use the internet for free upstairs. The location is pretty good as well. It is four block from a park and a shopping center. Costa Verde beach is 6 blocks away. The hotel is a good option if you stay on a day that is not hot and you do not need air-conditioning.

  • I loved this hostel! Doņa Elsa met me at the airport (for no charge) to help me get a cab, and accompanied me to the bus station and the city center when I went because she felt it was safer that way and said she didnīt mind going! Sheīs a really great person to chat with about Lima, so it was quite interesting. The hostel rooms are very very clean, and are in a cabin behind the house that is absolutely lovely, with a kitchen and a tv in each room. Breakfast is included and its all for $10 USD!

    They have a parakeet who will talk to you:) All he says is hola, but itīs still fun;)

  • Located in the Miraflores section of Lima, this hotel is pretty accessible to some attractions, restuarants and shops...all walking distance. The rooms are small, but clean with private bathroom. The restaurant on the first floor makes descent food and a good pisco sour if you don't feel like venturing out. The internet access costs a little money and is reasonably fast.

  • Nice little place on Avenida Venezuala in Beņer. Paid only 20 soles (about $6 USD) for a double room without a bathroom. Pretty clean. nice staff. walking distance from plaza del armas and and all those historic places. about a half an hour on a bus to Miralflores.
